Cold Town Beer
Cold Town is an award-winning, innovative, independent craft brewery based in the heart of Edinburgh.
Calton Hill Brewery on Edinburgh produced the UK first Lager back in 1835. The suburb that the brewery called home earned the name Cauld Toon, as it sat directly in the cold shadow of Arthur’s Seat. We wanted to pay homage to these roots, and therefore the name Cold Town was born.
Cold Town produces an award-winning range of innovative craft beers and lager, designed to appeal to all beer drinkers.
This year, Golden Wonder are celebrating 75 years of having Snacking Sorted. Golden Wonder has been a Scottish favourite since it all started in Edinburgh in 1947.
William Alexander, a local Stockbridge baker, started frying sliced potatoes in the afternoon after he’d finished baking for the day. He used ‘Golden Wonder’ potatoes – people loved them – and so Golden Wonder was born!
Although there have been many changes since then, the brand is still just as loved today – with a WONDER-ful 96% brand awareness in Scotland – and growing faster than the market.
Proud to be the largest British, family-owned crisps manufacturer – Golden Wonder are still making fully-flavoured crisps and great tasting snacks today!
